Central Data's scsiTerminal Server/ST-1016 provides high-performanceserial expansion for SPARCstation(TM) without consuming any SBus slots.By simply plugging into the system's SCSI port, ST-1016 permits theaddition of terminals, modems, printers, or other RS-232 devices.Multiple scsiTerminal Servers can be daisychained together for up to 112serial ports off a single SCSI bus. A STREAMS-based SunOS(TM) driver isincluded. ST-1016 features include no SBus slot requirement, because ithas a SCSI bus as the interface to host computer; 16 asynchronous serialports; expandability to 112 serial ports off a single SCSI bus; supportof baud rates up to 57.6 Kbaud; full modem control on all ports; easyinstalla- tion and maintenance; offloaded CPU overhead; and driversavailable for HP-UX, AIX, OSF/1 and IRIX.
